Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

Gerry Rafferty and Joe Egan of the band Stealers Wheel

Yesterday was a strange one. In the morning I was accused of being a “big global warming guy,” and in the afternoon I was “against public transit.”

Neither statement is even close to accurate, yet these folks broadcast to a wide distribution without bothering to confirm the information independently or check with me first. It makes me wonder about a) the intelligence of the senders, and b) whether they have ulterior motives.

On the global warming comment, I wrote an article yesterday about this mis-characterization. Please take a moment to read it.

With regard to public transit and light rail, I just posted yet another article (one of many I’ve written) in which I’ve included content from several damage control emails I sent yesterday in response to the original electronic assassination attempt.

It’s looking more and more like there is no middle road in politics, not even in Scottsdale. It’s more like a no-man’s-land. Am I stuck there with you? The music is very faint. I’m hoping for more intelligent dialog soon.
