IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR “INDEPENDENT” VOTERS

Voters who are not affiliated with any political party and who are on the Permanent Early Voting List will not automatically receive a ballot for Scottsdale’s August 30, 2016 CITY Primary Election.  Voters who are not affiliated with a political party have the option of requesting a political party ballot of their choice or a Scottsdale only ballot.  These voters must notify Maricopa County Elections (602-506-1511) of their selection to receive a mail-in ballot for the August 30, 2016 Primary Election.  Ballot selections also may be made online at:

Important Dates:

  • Sun 29 May, apply for early ballot.
  • Wed, 1 Jun, Candidate Nominating Petitions due.
  • Mon 1 Aug, Last Day to Register to Vote in the August Primary Election.
  • Wed 03 Aug, Early ballots for primary election available/mailed.
  • 12 Oct, Early Ballots available for 8 Nov General Election.

To arrange for voting assistance, contact Maricopa County Elections, 510 S Third Ave, Phoenix AZ 85003, 602.506.1511 or 602.506.2348 (TDD) before 5 p.m. Friday, 17 Aug 2012 for the 28 August Primary Election; or before 5 p.m. Friday 26 October for the 6 Nov General Election. Verbal or written requests must specify the address of confinement if assistance is needed from an Election Board.
