“Of course, I am extremely disappointed, I believe that the majority of council lacks vision for the next 20 to 25 years — I believe that is a reflection of poor public policy,” Scottsdale council woman Virginia Korte.
Ironic, considering that Korte’s only real objectives in pushing a light rail agenda are maximizing the value of her property and properties owned by her developer friends along the proposed routes–and putting money in the pockets of construction contractors who want to build it; i.e., short-term profit over the long-term fiscal health of our city.
Korte and Milhaven have never participated in even one serious discussion about real improvements to the bus system (which already exists), ride sharing services like Uber, etc., that already operate here, public jitney services…all of which could provide vastly better service at far less cost than any fixed rail option.
“Conversation?” Not so much.
