The Coyotes will now focus on finalizing a partnership with other public sector constituents including the State and the City of Tempe.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: This is going to wind up fleecing the taxpayers somehow. Public-private “partnership” is just a code word for taxpayer-funded subsidies to private businesses.
It says something about how bad this deal is that Anthony LeBlanc couldn’t sell it to Scottsdale’s newly-reeelected mayor of crony capitalism, Jim Lane.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Scottsdale taxpayers won’t be on the hook somehow. After all, we shelled out over a million dollars to the Super Bowl host committee for a sporting even that took place in Glendale.

This sounds like the Desert Discovery Center proposed in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve where the taxpayers will foot the bill but not benefit. Only the DDCSI will benefit.
