My main objections to light rail have always been the questionable per-rider economics, and the rose-colored glasses of those who promote it.
But crime related to light rail is a real problem that was utterly dismissed by those promoters.
Now it drives away fare-paying passengers, and drives up per-rider cost because of the ever-increasing need for security measures.
